 Metuh, Amosu Umar plead EFCC to collect the Arm Scandal Money: The Economics and Financial Crime Commission have received letter of plea from notable persons that were involve in the arms probe saying they plea to refund their share of the money the received from the office of the National Security Adviser

he three people include Olisa Metuh, the former national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ex-chiefs of air staff Air Marshals Adeshola Amosu and Mohammed Dikko Umar.

According to information from the EFCC that the three people want to return the loot to avoid been convicated and also to avoid going to prosin.


The information" We have received letter of plea bargain from the three accused persons and their names are Metuh, Umar and Amosu and the Efcc replied back the letter saying that they may accept the offer only if it is of public interest, this means that they must refund the money that they have stolen from the public treasury.

Though there is no disclosure details of the request from the accused persons.

Metuh  is standing trial for collecting #400 million from the office of the former national security adviser Sambo Dasuki, They money he received is suspected to be they $2.1billion arms deal fund that was diverted.

Umar is also facing Seven- counter charges bordering on money laundery  criminal breach of trust and corruption of about N9.7billion.

Amosu is facing 26-count of stealing about N50 billion alongside Air Vice marshal (AVM) Jacob Adigun and Air Commodore Gbadebo Olugbenga.

The report have it that the commission have made an arrangement to protect the witness against former-Chief of Defence Staff Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, and ex-Chiefs of Air Staff Amosu and Umar as well as Metuh due to threat from unknown bodies.

They agency also suspected that this witness have become vulnerable and have plea with they court that some of them testify through Camera.

 Metuh had been arrested by the Efcc before but have been released in the past and have plead before to return his own fund to show his support for Buhari's anti-corruption fight.
Metuh through his lawyer said that he did not know that they money was not from the office of they former President Goodluck that he was only acting according to the Former Presidents' instruction.
