The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) has conferred the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) on some lawyers see the  List of Newly Appointed Senior Advocate of Nigeria .


The  Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court and Secretary of the Committee, said the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee  approved the award at its 119th meeting.

Mr. Saleh who is also among the newly appointed SAN  said,that  there swearing will Sept. 21,During a special section of the Supreme Court to mark the beginning of the legal year.

 TAHIR Mamman


 Dr. Tahir Mamman is the former Director-General of the Nigerian Law School. And also one time a dean of faculty of law Maduguri University and also have received many national honor including Order of the Niger (OON).

Prof. Maxwell M. Gidado


Prof. Maxwell M. Gidado was the former Dean of the Faculty of Law Nasarawa State University, Keffi, before his appointment as the Chief of Staff to the Acting Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. Born in Sugu, Adamawa State in 1960. A 1983 graduate of the University of Maiduguri , he was called to the Bar in 1984. He obtained the Master of Law (LLM) degree and PhD from the University of Warwick in England and now he is among the List of Newly Appointed Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

Among the List of Newly Appointed Senior Advocate of Nigeria are Edward Ashiekaa, Benson Nwankwo, Joseph Bamigboye, Patrick Okolo, and Akinpelu Onigbinde.

Others are Ibrahim Bawa, Samuel Zibiri, Adeniyi Adegbonmire, Aderibigbe Adedeji, Emmanuel Aguma, Emeka Etiaba, Olumuyiwa Akinboro, Gordy Uche, Uchechukwu Obi, Kehinde Eleja, Paul Idornigie and Oladapo Olanipekun.
